GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Maintenance Technician supports and ensures the completion of day-to-day maintenance activities at the plant.
The position provides support to leadership for all maintenance staff to drive excellence and maximize effort.
The position focuses on maintaining high-quality standards through the efforts expended at the facility that meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining a professional and equally efficient environment for all production employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Inspect and repair plant equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation and controls to minimize downtime.
Document accurate maintenance activity records.
Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
Report incidents, near misses, and any non-conformances through the appropriate channels. Exemplify the expected values of organization including following policies and standard work procedures. Give input on and coordinate maintenance supply purchases. Perform Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure completion and accuracy. Other projects and tasks as assigned. Cross-train on other production functions to aid as business need dictates.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
One-year certificate from college, technical school or manufacturing training program. One additional year of experience plus high school diploma/GED in lieu of higher education is acceptable. Two additional years of experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Maintenance Technician II: 1+ year of experience
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Capable of installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC; AC/DC drive motors preferred Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry and hot work permit Ability to work overtime as needed; ability to meet deadlines Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English

Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.

Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. Responsible for the tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e., OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. Manage, monitor, and document performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues.
Consult with WTI Commercial Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $71,000 and $90,000.

The Engineering, Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing all engineering activities and maintaining and upgrading the Site's facilities and production equipment.
In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining/advancing a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program at the facility, while identifying capital requirements for the annual capital plan.
Responsibilities also include developing and assisting in value stream design and implementation of lean principles and tools within the manufacturing environment.
This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with value stream mapping, employee training, continuous improvement event facilitation, waste identification and elimination, problem solving (through the scientific method), work area and station design and layout, visual control implementation, material flow, and progress tracking and communication.
Lastly, this resource acts as a passionate advocate for a cultural change toward lean thinking throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with LEAN leadership in eliminating unplanned production interruptions. Use DAKOTA as the compliance tool to report incidents, near misses and non-conformances, and to maintain compliance with EH&S. Work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Prepare capital projects for submission to management.
Included are costs, schedule, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and needed procedures. Serve as lead project engineer for approved capital projects with the goal of on time and on budget completion. Develop and administer a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program that reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery.
Responsible for identifying capital requirements for the facility's annual capital plan and budget. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with MOC procedures.
Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to develop needed TPM programs. Support SPC, DOE's, and other Quality initiatives. Lead Engineer for the production processes. Develop facility infrastructure upgrade plan.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
B.S.
in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. 5-10 years of Facility and Process Engineering experience. Experience managing capital projects required. Experience is Engineering Management. PHA and "Process Safety Management" experience a positive.

Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Develop and administer a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program that reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery.
Responsible for identifying capital requirements for the facility's annual capital plan and budget. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with MOC procedures.
Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze annual site utility expenditure and develop plan to optimize plant efficiency to reduce costs (ISO 14001).
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Integrate the plant PHA initiative with the appropriate capital projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to develop needed TPM programs. Support SPC, DOE's, and other Quality initiatives. Lead Engineer for the production processes. Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer (MfgE) I/II/Senior is responsible for developing, implementing, directing and coordinating manufacturing materials and processes to achieve the most efficient, cost effective and high-quality production possible in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
The MfgE is responsible for leading the transition from new product development to manufacturing; providing daily manufacturing support for existing products; and leading implementation of design changes and quality improvements.
The MfgE works closely with all functional groups to develop robust, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes and related documentation for use throughout the manufacturing facility.
The MfgE drives continuous improvement and best practices by applying lean methods to eliminate waste in the value stream.

Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products and/or processes using a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ) methods. Help coordinate manufacturing launch of new/revised products including tooling, equipment, methods and shop floor support. Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and drawing package updates to support implementation of new product development efforts and changes to existing products. Specify/Design and coordinate fabrication of patterns, molds, fixtures, and gauges required in the manufacture of components and assemblies. Provide shop floor support, interfacing with other functional groups as required, to resolve processing issues with sound, lasting, corrective actions. Participate in "make/buy" decisions to determine the most cost-effective manner in which to manufacture hardware. Review new tooling (injection mold, vacuum form, and rotomold) packages to ensure all tooling meets part design and manufacturing requirements. Establish process control parameters and help to define Standard Work to optimize efficiency and First Pass Yield (FPY). Analyze space requirements and workflow, and design the layout of equipment and workstations to ensure maximum efficiency and an ergonomically sound work environment. Perform research and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Conduct studies and evaluations aimed at developing new technologies to reduce cost/lead time, and improve quality/product flow Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Manufacturing Engineer II
This is the next level of the Manufacturing Engineer series and is required to have a minimum of 4 years of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of the following: Design for Manufacturing and Design for Quality in new products and changes to existing products to improve process efficiency, ergonomics, tooling/fixturing, etc. Ability to address issues in the manufacturing environment through development of process improvements Support new product development early in the product design phase to ensure DFM and DFQ are considered and implemented early in the project. Strong SolidWorks design and drawing package skills that meet project deadlines and internal/external customer needs. Demonstrated team leadership with strong communication skills. This level requires the following certifications: SolidWorks CAD Design Professional (CSWP) Manufacturing Engineer II perform broader range of duties, proven skillset to fully perform Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, and provide technical direction to less experienced staff.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer
This is the senior level of the Manufacturing Engineer series and is required to have a minimum of 7 years of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of the following: All the skills listed in MfgE II position with greater experience and understanding of plastics injection molding part design and processes. Proven leadership ability to lead groups through the implementation of a new product and/or process change. Strong design skills in tooling/fixturing/jigs for production. Understanding and deployment of Design of Experiments methodologies to uncover optimum processing conditions. Excellent analytical skills in the areas of process efficiency to focus efforts on "bottle neck" elimination and develop justification for capital improvements. This level requires the following certifications: Design of Experiments SolidWorks Administration PDM (CPAP) Senior Manufacturing Engineer perform broader skilled work and specialize in one trade or craft but perform work in a variety of disciplines.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer receives minimal instruction or assistance and is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies associated with the department.
