What does your role as a Cover Supervisor look like?
A Cover Supervisor is a valued member of school staff responsible for overseeing students in the absence of their regular teacher.
When teaching staff are away on a short-term basis, Cover Supervisors step in to supervise classes, ensuring pupils stay focused and engaged with the pre-set work provided by the absent teacher.
While this role does not involve lesson planning, marking, or direct teaching, it plays a vital part in maintaining consistency and a productive learning environment throughout the school day.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Delivering and supervising lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of teaching staff
Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with the school's policies and expectations
Ensuring students remain focused and complete the work set by the teacher
Promoting a positive and respectful learning environment while serving as a strong role model for students
Working across a variety of subjects and year groups from KS3 to KS4.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience working with young people in educational, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring settings
A positive, professional attitude with a flexible and proactive approach
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage behaviour effectively
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to obtain one).

As a Year 4 Class Teacher you will be required to:
Take on full Year 4 Class Teacher responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments
