This is a full-time Position, Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4pm.

Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
Deliver phonics support sessions and assist with literacy and numeracy interventions as directed
Collaborate with other staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents
Qualifications/Experience
Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting
Strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND)
Confident in assisting with phonics, interventions, and behaviour management strategies
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
Right to work in the UK

About the role/school
Teach Plus is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, inclusive primary academy in Twickenham.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a child in Year 3 who has ADHD and Autism.
The child can display challenging behaviour and may be defiant at times, so the school is seeking someone with a strong SEND background and excellent behaviour-management strategies.
Candidates with TEAM TEACH or restraint-training experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
Work as an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD and Autism
Implement effective behaviour-management strategies to ensure a safe, structured learning environment
Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
Follow personalised learning plans and collaborate with the SENCo and teaching staff
Encourage resilience, independence, and engagement in classroom tasks
Use de-escalation techniques and, if trained, TEAM TEACH approaches
Promote the school's inclusive ethos and values in your role as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and meetings where necessary
Qualifications/Experience
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have:
A strong background in SEND and behaviour support
Experience working with pupils displaying challenging behaviour
TEAM TEACH or similar restraint-training experience (desirable)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, proactive, and resilient approach
Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
Right to work in the UK
