The Role:
As the Process Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with regulations governing the operation of the organisations LPG assets operating in accordance with relevant legislation including COMAH.
Your primary focus will be on identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with the handling, storage and processing of dangerous substances.
You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a robust process safety management system, COMAH safety reports, emergency response plans, and providing expertise to maintain a safe working environment and facilities by working at a group level with all MD's and local HSE specialists.
You will be responsible for ensuring each business has identified and is managing the process risk and will set up and measure relevant key performance indicators.
You will lead relevant studies and assessments and be a key contact with the regulator and external experts.
You will lead in the management of change, hazard studies, quantified risk assessment, COMAH, DSEAR and pressure systems compliance
As the Process Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Risk Assessment:
Conduct thorough risk assessments related to the handling, storage, and transportation of dangerous substances
Identify potential major accident hazards and scenarios and assess their likelihood and consequences.
Regulatory Compliance:
Your will be responsible for the update and submission of COMAH Safety Reports, associated studies and risk assessments.
Stay up-to-date with COMAH regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Ensure the organization's compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Engage with local HSE officers in the island and the UK to ensure safety reports and actions and HSE officers are informed.
Emergency Planning:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential major accidents.
Coordinate with relevant authorities, emergency services, and internal stake holders to ensure effective emergency preparedness
Safety Audits and Inspections:
Ensure that regular safety audits and inspections are conducted by the relevant teams to identify and rectify potential hazards.
Collaborate with internal and external parties to implement corrective actions.
Ensure policies and procedures are kept up to date and are reflective of any actions taken.
Training and Awareness:
Provide training and awareness programs for employees regarding major accident hazards, process safety, and safety procedures.
Foster a safety-conscious culture within the organisation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, process safety records and documentation, and emergency response plans to enable clear demonstration of compliance across relevant legislation and current industry standards.
Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
You will ensure key performance measures are captured and provide competent evaluation and advice to the Senior Management Team on those indicators.
Continuous Improvement:
Ensure that improvement plans are generated and progress against actions is in line with agreed expectations.
Identify opportunities for improvement in safety procedures and systems.
Implement measures to enhance overall safety performance.
Ensure Management of Change is embedded firmly into the business and used across key areas of change identified.

The Role:
As the Functional Safety Engineer you will support the organization in the development, implementation, and management of the requirements in accordance with the relevant standards, in particular, BS EN 61508, 61511, and 60079.
As the Functional Safety Engineer you will be responsible for:
The Engineer will be responsible for carrying out and reviewing each of the SIS safety life-cycle phases and ensuring the requirements are completed and documented to schedule.
The Engineer shall be competent to carry out the activities within the lifecycle of the Safety Instrumented System for which they are accountable.
The Engineer shall develop and implement the required technical documents including policies, procedures, assessment, processes, and records to ensure that the requirements of the standards are achieved and can be demonstrated to stakeholders.
The Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that the safety instrumented systems and control systems in General are assessed and protected with appropriate cyber security measures.
The Engineer shall be the Technical Authority for all works carried out on Safety Instrumented Systems and control systems in general.
This includes leading the management of change process and ensuring RAMs, procedures, and Non-Routine Procedures are in place for every system intervention.
The Engineer shall be responsible for auditing Safety Instrumented Systems and control systems in general, and report key performance indicators to the Head of Asset Management and Operations.
The Engineer shall lead the technical ECI interface with HSE Competent Authority.
The Engineer shall ensure system performance testing, checks and data is completed and captured to enable analysis and trending of system performance.
This includes reporting the results of proof testing and inspections e.g.
‘as found', ‘remediation actions' and ‘as left' conditions, informing the LPG Operations Manager of any problems discovered during maintenance and proof testing.
The Engineer shall be competent in their understanding and implementation of DSEAR and ATEX equipment.
The Engineer shall participate or lead HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA or other studies associated with safety instrumented systems.
The Engineer shall lead the management of change to functional safety systems and ECI systems in general.
The Engineer shall review and assess ECI operational needs and project manage the design of any modification or installation of such systems.
Updating the maintenance management system with results of EC&I and SIS planned maintenance and proof testing activities.
Undertaking Incident investigations related to ECI control matters.
Security - The Engineer shall ensure that SIFs are secured from un-authorised interference, i.e., password protection employed, system cabinets locked.

The Candidate:
To be the right person for the Structural Engineer role you will require:
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
Proficient in structural design software (ideally Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis)
Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
Excellent project management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The role will entail of taking in deliveries, checking that the quantity is correct to what is on the order from site and passing on orders from site to procurement.
Also, there will be general dueites on site assisting the mechanical trades on site such as plumbers and fitters.

Our Trafford Park based client have opportunities in their workshop and can offer a temporary to permanent contract.
Payments Methods; cis/ Umbrella and PAYE.
WORKING HOURS: Weekly Base Hours 39, plus overtime for Midweek and Weekend hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the accurate TIG Welding, Fabrication of components across a variety of materials for the food industry/hygiene sectors
Accurately weld, fabricate & assemble complex assemblies to technical drawings ensuring a quality build
Follow assembly, inspection and testing procedures
Be competent in using machinery to complete folding and rolling processes
Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
Follow engineering drawings and instructions for each job
Check dimensions and thicknesses of materials to be welded
Prepare and set out sections to be joined or repaired
Calibrate tools and machinery
Operate TIG/MIG welding equipment
Inspect and test welds and joins, using precision measuring instruments
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience of working with a variety of metals to create fabrications/equipment for the food industry
An excellent Welder/Fabricator/ Sheet Metal Worker
Have the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
