Position Overview

As the public face of the IT Department, you will be servicing a broad range of customers across range of network technologies.
Responsibilities
This seasoned IT professional will play a pivotal role in supporting IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
Handling requests ranging from routing/switching, firewall, VoIP, and IT support
Support, configure, and install network security devices, primarily Sonicwall and Fortinet.
Maintain and enhance documentation of customers' network environment.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Collaborate with vendors and other IT teams for issue resolution.
Responsible for implementing network infrastructures.
Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes to the network infrastructure.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and personal qualities
IT Degree or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
Previous experience in supporting Network Routing, Switching, Security.
Knowledge in several of the following areas: Logging, network access control, Sonicwall or Fortinet routing and switching, VPN, configuration of firewalls.
Experience in virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
Experience in storage/backup best practices for hardware and operating systems.
Proficient technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
