Quantity Surveyor

A client within the private Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the private sector within a construction environment.



The Role


Key purpose of the role is to provide a Quantity Surveying services across a range of projects and to be responsible for all aspects of service delivery from inception to completion.



Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:



  • Preparation of appointments and contracts for commissions;

  • Ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards;

  • Preparation of interim valuations, contract instructions and final accounts;

  • Contract and dispute advice;

  • Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator services including issuing of appropriate project certification;



The Candidate


To be considered for this role you will require a degree in quantity surveying or HNC in Building Studies and a minimum of 3 years for a construction related organisation.


The below skills would be beneficial for the role:



  • Ability to understand the company's financial procedures;

  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in budgetary profiling and cost control;

  • Maintaining sustainable relationships at all levels, both internally and externally;

  • Uses well-reasoned arguments to convince and persuade where necessary to achieve a win-win solution;



The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30,000 - £40,000 per annum including various other benefits.
