Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join a company who combine industry leading optical, mechanical, electronics and software expertise with in-house development capability from design through to qualification and manufacture.

The role would suit an Engineer seeking their 2nd or 3rd role, who is seeking to work on bespoke, varied projects and solve unique challenges for some of the world's leading technology companies.

Any experience of fibre optics would be of particular interest.

We are looking for a motivated Electronics Design Engineer to join the expanding R&D team working on exciting next-generation custom solutions.

You will have experience of some of the following:

• Degree Qualified in Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years' experience


• Fibre optics


• Electronic design (digital and analogue) and simulation software (Spice, ORCAD, etc.)


• Embedded programming languages such as C, C++


• System design and test


• Product life cycle of electronic designs


• Objectively quantifies problems


• Finds suitable technical solutions with suitable supervision


• Willing to learn and follow standard design practices


• Experience in use of 2D & 3D CAD software


• Experience of use of ORCAD PCB tool suite


• Experience in Embedded systems such MSP430, STM32, PICs, Arduino, etc.
