Director of Hotel Sales

Location: Petersburg, Virginia
Salary: $92,000–$127,000

We’re partnering with a new hospitality destination in Virginia that is looking for a Director of Hotel Sales to help put the property on the map and build a strong book of business ahead of its opening.

This is a great opportunity for a sales leader who enjoys making connections, winning new business and building a team.

You’ll play a big part in shaping the hotel’s sales strategy, developing relationships across the market and helping drive strong results as the property grows.

About You

• Strong background in hotel sales, ideally with experience leading a sales function at Director level or similar
• Confident building new business and developing genuine, long-term client relationships
• Experience across corporate, group and negotiated hotel accounts
• A natural team leader who enjoys coaching, supporting and bringing out the best in people
• Commercially minded, confident with targets and forecasting, and comfortable being out in the market representing the property

What You’ll Do

• Build and grow the hotel’s client base, with a focus on bringing in new corporate, group and negotiated business
• Lead and support the sales team, setting clear goals and helping them turn opportunities into bookings
• Spend time in the market meeting clients, attending events and creating new partnerships
• Keep a close eye on sales performance, market activity and upcoming opportunities, adjusting the approach where needed
• Work closely with hotel leadership and other departments to help drive occupancy, revenue and the overall success of the property
