1:1 Teaching Assistant

Integra Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our team in Wigan.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to a student with additional needs , helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.


• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.


• Monitor and record the student's progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.


• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to promote the student's social and emotional development.


• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's education and well-being.


• Assist with classroom management and organization to support the smooth running of the class.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.


• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of the student.
