My client is an established firm in the Construction materials sector, based in North Leicestershire and commutable from Loughborough, Leicester, Nottingham and Derby.

They are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to work closely with the team to deliver preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on the site.
 
The Role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

- Ensure high standards of maintenance: Maintain plant and facilities to high standards at all times.
- Manage plant downtime: Meet downtime targets while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
- Improve plant and facilities: Manage and improve plant and facilities, ensuring all works comply with SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) guidelines.
- Manage engineering stores: Maintain and assess stock and inventory levels.
- Continuous improvement: Demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Report and record work: Use the CMM (Piranha) system to report and record all works.
- Build working relationships: Maintain relationships with customer departments within the business.
- Advising management when to replace aged mechanical/electrical equipment to prevent hazards.
- Implement engineering solutions: Assist with cost-effective repairs and engineering solutions.
- Support production and maintenance teams: Ensure the plant exceeds performance, quality, and safety targets.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required:

- Time-served apprenticeship
- NVQ level 3 minimum.
- SHE awareness: Good knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment guidelines.
- Wiring regulations: 18th edition.
- Fault-finding skills: Good at identifying and fixing faults.
- TPM and PPM systems: Experience with Total Productive Maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance systems.
- Siemens / Allen Bradley systems: Experience with these systems.
- Experience working with heavy plant machinery/recycling sector.

 
The basics for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

- Salary up to £47,403k
- 33 days holiday total 
- 18% - pension - you contribute 7% and the business 11%

Shifts:
wk 1 - Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm (Friday 6am to 4pm)
wk 2 - Monday to Thursday (2 to 10pm) Friday 9am to 5pm
wk 3 - Mon to Thu - 8pm to 6am

Averages over 3 weeks is 42 hours per week
