We are seeking a dedicated AST Housing Officer to deliver a comprehensive housing service to tenants and leaseholders for a Local Authority based in Lambeth.

This role involves working closely with other teams, councillors, and Tenants & Residents Associations to ensure sustainable tenancies and communities.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide proactive, customer-focused housing management service across a designated area.

  • Maintain a visible presence on estates for at least 21 hours per week.

  • Monitor and report non-compliance of partner agencies.

  • Lead investigations and respond to member enquiries from ward councillors.

  • Support Public Health and Homes for engagement activities.

  • Assist residents with tenancy and estate management services.

  • Update management systems with relevant data.

  • Respond to complaints and service delivery issues.

  • Investigate and manage abandoned properties and tenancy fraud.

  • Conduct tenancy checks, welcome visits, and tenancy reviews.

  • Organise and attend community meetings and events.


Qualifications and Experience:



  • Educated to NQF level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience.

  • Knowledge of housing, estate management, health and safety, and relevant legislation.

  • Experience in effective partnerships with multi-agencies and local residents.

  • Experience managing casework and resolving queries.

  • Supervisory experience and managing complex casework.
