Test Engineer

Are you an Electronic Test Engineer looking for a new role based in Bedford?

My client are leaders in their field with a significant global presence and specialise in electronic enclosures and systems for critical industries, Aerospace and Defence, who are seeking an Electronic Test Engineer to join their team.

This role presents the opportunity to work on the in-process and final stage test activities of the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities for this Electronic Test Engineer opportunity, based in Bedford:

- Testing and fault diagnosis of enclosure systems.

- Testing and fault diagnosis of sub-assemblies.

- Working in accordance with documentation provided.

- Testing and fault diagnosis of customer returned equipment.

- Diagnosis and repair of failing units to component level.

- Documentation of test results and completion of route cards.

- Identification of test equipment and jigs.

- EMC & environmental Testing.

- Development of test instructions

- Assisting in enhancements and improvements to the company's test processes and procedures.

- Working within an AS9100 / ISO9001 quality system.

The following skills would be advantageous for this Electronic Test Engineer opportunity, based in Bedford:

- An understanding and appreciation of circuit diagrams and functional operation of

- electronic products.

- Knowledge document control processes.

- Knowledge of EMC and / or environmental test methods and procedures
