Senior Quality Inspector

Salary: £35-38k but hourly pay can be offered

Location: Basingstoke

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a progressive precision engineering company in the Basingstoke area, who are looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their growing team and support their increasing production capabilities.

This role offers a great opportunity to influence the quality standards and progression as the company continues to grow.

Senior Quality Inspector responsibilities:

- Inspection of precision parts using both CMM and manual measuring tools to ensure accuracy of dimensions within drawings.
- Compiling accuracy documentation relating to the relevant precision component.
- Completing FAIRs and NCRs when necessary to support 8D process.
- Programme, manage and operate Mitutoyo CMM.
- Participation in regular audits to maintain standards and maintain AS9100 certification.
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement methods.

Senior Quality Inspector requirements:

- 3-5 years’ experience in similar role/sector and leadership experience would be advantageous.
- Proficient in CMM programming, preferably Mitutoyo.
- Experience of working with quality standards including ISO9001 and AS9100.
- Previous competence of working with manual tools.
- Experience of supervising a small team and has strong leadership skills.
