Group Financial Accountant – Hospitality Group – Alfreton (Hybrid), Up to 55k!

We are working with a group that owns and operates an established estate of high-quality food and drinks pubs in and around several districts in and around the Midlands.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to ensure all statutory, Taxation, Accounting and Compliance requirements are met to strict deadlines, whilst also ensuring these are performed with a high level of diligence, accuracy and completeness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completion of the annual Statutory Accounts for the Group and all subsidiaries.
• End-to-end management of the external audit process, ensuring the process is robust, timely and well communicated to all stakeholders.
• Compliance with HMRC including all associated returns and processes.
• Companies House filings and recording of Company/Director changes.
• Primary responsibility for the short-term cash forecasting of the Group.
• Oversight and performance management of the AP, AR and Treasury functions.
• Preparation of HQ Subsidiary Management Accounts (monthly).
• Consolidation of Management Accounts (monthly).
• Control of all Inter/Intra eliminations (monthly).
• Support the forecasting and budgeting processes (balance sheet and cash flow).
• Review, coordinate and document all internal control processes, suggesting improvements.
• Taxation Value-added projects and activities.
• Sourcing, implementation and management of Government and Industry Grants

The successful candidate:

• Professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA)
• Diligent and accurate.
• Time management Skills to ensure deadlines are met.
• Solid communication skills
• Minimum of Intermediate Excel skills.
• Sound hands-on ERP use and knowledge, Netsuite would be an advantage.
• Continuous Improvement mindset.
