Retail Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager to work on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will lead a vibrant team of enthusiastic staff, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a diverse shop that features a unique mix of stock and concessions.

In the Retail Manager role, you will be:

• Leading and motivating a small team of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Managing inventory to keep the shop well-stocked, overseeing purchasing from suppliers while adhering to the established budget.
• Coordinating with existing concessions to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Overseeing the operations of onsite facilities.
• Opening and closing the establishment, handling cash and card machine transactions, and managing daily financial operations.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols within the workplace.

To be considered for the Retail Manager role, you will need:

• Previous experience in leading and managing operational teams.
• Experience in delivering sales and inventory targets within a dynamic retail environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with managing budgets and identifying development opportunities.
•  Strong background in inventory management, including purchasing from suppliers and maintaining budget adherence.
• Experience in coordinating with concessions or similar entities to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams & Excel

This temporary, full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week, spread over 5 out of 7 days, including alternate weekends and potentially bank holidays.

The working hours are from 9:00 to 17:00.

The hourly pay rate is competitive, starting from £18.00 + depending on skills and experience.
