Field Service Engineer

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading Biotechnology Diagnostics company based in the Manchester area.

As the Field Service Engineer you will be responsibilities for the instillation and maintenance of company instruments, and provide product and equipment support via customer visits.



(The position will work closely with the French market with regular trips, so only French speaking candidates will be considered for this role)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Field Service Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1.

You will install and maintenance company instruments at different customer sites, applying your knowledge operating manual or automated laboratory equipment.



2.

You will carry out performance qualification testing on equipment used for laboratory workflows, provide fault investigations, and general lab maintenance upkeep.

3.

You will be involved in Tech Transfer activities from development teams, provide product and equipment support, and provide customer training at sites and the Manchester facility.

4.

You will ensure customer complaints and enquires are dealt with whilst working to regulatory and quality requirements.



ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Field Service Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1.

Relevant degree in a appropriate discipline (Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc.)

2.

Proven industry experience working as a Field Service Engineer

3.

A working knowledge and practical experience with in operating manual or automated laboratory equipment ( (including the use of pipettes or robotic liquid handling systems)

4.

Fluent French speaker
