Are you a skilled Manual Machinist with experience working on manual millers, lathes/turners, vertical borers or horizontal borers? Are you confident working from engineering drawings? Would you like to work for a family-owned business that is growing?
 
Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer that works with a wide range of metal materials.

They are looking for a new Manual Machinist to join their growing team.

Commutable from Rochester, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Gravesend and Allhallows.
 
The Role of Manual Machinist:
- Set up and operate a variety of manual machine tools to produce precision parts
- Working with machines including manual millers, manual lathes, manual turners, horizontal borers, surface grinders and more
- Working from drawings
- Working to tight tolerances
- Quality checking parts using various hand tools
- Maintaining machinery
- Working independently and as part of a team
 
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience operating manual milling, manual lathes, manual turning, horizontal boring or other manual metal works machines
- Ability to work from engineering drawings
- Able to quality check own parts
- Keen to learn new skills and develop
- Motivated and excellent team player
- Able to commute to the ME2 area
- Full clean UK Driving Licence

- Starting salary up to £40k depending on experience
- 8.30am to 4pm Mon-Fri
