IT Support Technician

Part Time - 20 hours per week
£35,000 - £40,000 Pro Rata + Hybrid + Benefits

In order to provide the wide ranging and exemplary levels of customer focussed support for which our client is renowned, an ambitious, personable and solutions-focussed IT Support Technician is required to join the team on a part time basis in this highly rewarding role.



Our client is just as much a people support company as an IT support company.

They make sure their clients have the technology and the technical know-how to thrive.

They do all the usual stuff like backups, setting up computers, cyber security and IT strategy, but also all the unusual stuff like making sure their client's team is fully aware of the current IT risks.



The successful IT Support Technician will be involved across all areas of both support and project work, including Microsoft 365 migrations, new hardware rollouts and onboarding new clients.

In this hybrid role, you'll enjoy a dynamic and flexible work environment that blends remote work based at home, on-site client visits (Surrey and London primarily) and time in our office.

The exposure to all areas across the ‘front line' make this a crucial role in which no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide top-notch, wide-ranging technical support

  • Solve problems and make technology simple for our clients.

  • Support users, cloud server and storage infrastructure including new installations and reconfigurations.

  • Implementation of hardware and services through onsite or remote work

  • Be able to produce and contribute to technical documentation.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious and keen to work in teams including non-technical people as well as autonomously.

  • A general keenness to learn new skills to help take the business forward.

  • Ability to work under pressure whilst demonstrating a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking attitude with minimum supervision.

  • A keen eye for detail

  • Experience in an IT support environment

  • Ability to visit Surrey or London-based clients

  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.

  • Demonstrable customer centric, technical support experience in a client facing/desk side role position.

  • Great problem-solving skills with the ability to follow processes and procedures, you will be able to prioritise and manage several pieces of work at the same time.

  • Good knowledge of PC hardware with experience of diagnosing problems.

  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365 and cloud-based solutions.

  • Good knowledge of networking principles

  • Experience with MS Windows server 2016 - 2019

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Experience with Apple Mac OS.
