Position: Legal Secretary – Property Department
Location: Liverpool
Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent office-based role (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm).
Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per year depending on experience.

A top Legal 500 firm in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Property Department.


This role supports a dynamic team of fee earners by preparing documentation, handling correspondence, and managing general secretarial tasks.

The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant, solutions-driven team that values a strong, collegiate office-based culture.
This position is ideal for a mid- to senior-level Legal Secretary looking to further develop their skills and knowledge in a business law firm that champions internal progression.

The role involves providing secretarial and administrative support specifically for the Property Department.

Therefore, candidates should possess extensive experience dealing with property clients, transactions, Land Registry, and case management platforms, with a keen interest in figures.
The office is modern, easily accessible by public transport or car, and offers free onsite parking.

The responsibilities include managing Land Registry submissions, audio typing, preparing legal documents, bills, emails, and completion statements, and liaising with clients on behalf of the team.

The role also entails managing diaries, case management systems, and ensuring that deadlines are met with work completed to a high standard.

Occasionally, during holiday periods, the candidate may need to cover workflows from other departments, such as Corporate and Litigation, though this responsibility is shared across the entire secretarial team.

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive and flexible attitude, the ability to support inspiring and challenging stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

They should be a confident communicator with exceptional organisational skills, possess outstanding attention to detail, and be proficient in using the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.

Experience:

- Ideally 5+ years of experience as a Property Legal Secretary.
- Excellent typing speed and document management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A professional telephone manner with the ability to engage with clients.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
- Experience with case management and dictation software, such as Quill and BigHand.
- Proficiency in using the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.
- Confidence in financial ledger management of client files and drafting bills/invoices.
