Production Manager


We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee and manage daily operations in my clients joinery workshop.

You will ensure that production teams work efficiently, meet project deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Production Management:

    • Manage workloads for the Bench Joinery and Machinist teams, ensuring efficient work allocation.

    • Collaborate with the Finishing Manager to ensure smooth transitions between assembly and finishing stages.

    • Prepare joinery projects, including full-size rod drawings, and manage manufacturing tasks.




  • Workshop Oversight:

    • Maintain the workshop's cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and staff in the workshop.




  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and develop your team, providing clear communication, support, and guidance.

    • Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and support team members' professional growth.




  • Programming & Scheduling:

    • Prepare task schedules and allocate jobs to maximize workshop output.




  • Health & Safety:

    • Promote and maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental controls.

    • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.




  • Transportation & Delivery:

    • Coordinate with Site Managers for timely delivery of products and organize transportation.




  • Quality Control:

    • Ensure quality standards are met at every stage of production through inspections and final sign-offs.





Requirements:



  • Experience in workshop management, particularly in joinery or related fields.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
