Private Housekeeper required for a small family household in Gibraltar.

You will oversee the meticulous cleaning and tidying of the property (3 to 4 bedrooms), all laundry requirements including ironing and managing any general shopping requirements.

The role will be seasonal in nature, busier for the summer half of the year and school holidays but in between quieter periods.

The working hours are 9am to 5pm daily but these can be flexible depending on the family requirements, work to be completed and the seasonality.

As the Housekeeper, it is a pre requisite that you will be a discreet and reliable individual and able to demonstrate experience in a similar role (references will be taken).

Fluent English speaking is essential.

The successful applicant must also have the ability to drive around Gibraltar in a car or on a moped.

The role will commence in November 2024.

What's on offer to you?

• 9 to 5 with 30 minutes for lunch


• Full time salary £25 - 30,000k DOE plus bonus


• 25 days holiday (to be agreed with Family) plus Gibraltar Bank Holidays

What You Will Be Doing

• Thorough cleaning daily including delicate surfaces and materials to the highest standard


• Change bed linen and towels, make beds, replenish toiletries


• Laundry, washing and ironing maintained up to date


• General tidying, organising pantries and cabinets


• Keeping all floors, equipment and surfaces pristine and tidy at all times


• If required, replenishing fridge with list of foods that will be provided by the family


• Assist with packing and unpacking the family's and guests' luggage as required

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role

• Minimum 3 to 5 years in a similar role with impeccable references


• Fluent English


• Presentable/smart appearance


• Able to live in close proximity (Ideally Gibraltar)


• Experienced in all areas of housekeeping to a very high standard


• Meticulous person with attention to detail


• Trustworthy and reliable


• Excellent communication skills


• Very discreet, takes pride in their job


• Some flexibility when family are all in situ during summer and holiday periods


• Valid driving licence or moped license
