Precision People is proud to be working with an industry-leading established company with upwards of 50 years experience in the engineering industry.

Specialising in surface non-destructive testing (NDT) the company is looking for an ambitious individual to train up in various testing, calibration and manufacturing methods. 

The Role - Trainee NDT Technician:

- Conducting a range of non destructive testing to a broad range of manufactured parts and components.
- Conducting process control checks according to written procedures.
- Processing customer hardware with care, making accept/reject decisions, and generating test reports.
- Liaising with customers during hardware delivery and collection.
- Calibrating equipment both in-house and on-site at customer premises (training provided)
- Recording and reporting calibration findings.
- Manufacturing NDT equipment, including internal wiring and fabricating components using tools such as lathes and pillar drills.
- Demonstrating abilities during internal and external audits and examinations.

Key Experience / Skills Needed - Trainee NDT Technician:

- Holds assembly, fitting, quality, testing or inspection experience within a mechanical manufacturing environment
- Experience working to written specifications, following engineering procedures and/or recording of test/check results
- Holds NDT qualification (EN4179 Level 2 or similar) or holds an applicable mechanical/engineering qualification
- Full UK driving licence required for this position.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for following procedures and compiling reports.
- Professional demeanour for interacting with clients and auditing agencies.
- Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to changing requirements and work independently as part of a small team.

Salary/Package - Trainee NDT Technician:

- Starting salary between £24,000-£30,000
- Starting salary will be dependent on experience
- Working hours Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30pm-1:30pm
