My client is an established firm in the wood machinery sector, based in the East Midlands and commutable from Leicestershire and surrounding areas with close links to the M1, M69 and A50.

They are currently looking for a skilled mechanical engineer to refurbish, repair and build CNC woodworking machinery in their workshop based in Leicester.

It is imperative that candidates have experience of working in a workshop environment.
 
The Role:

- Refurbishing vertical panel saws.
- Loading and unloading machinery.
- Managing the warehouse and supporting the servicing and maintenance team where necessary.
- Mechanical repair on wood machinery/dust extractors.
- Using hand tools daily.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required:

- Mechanical engineering training e.g.

apprenticeship (ideal)
- Experience of workshop engineering
- Organisational skills - managing their own workload
- Forklift licence (Beneficial)

The basics:

- OT x1.5 for any hours worked
- Monday to Friday 
- 33 days holiday total (increases with service)
- Company pension 

The extras:

- Entered into bonus pool after 12 months
- Bonus and Private medical care for employees and family members after 1 years service
- OT x1.25 weekdays, x1.5 Saturdays, x2 Sundays
- Potential to be put through further training/qualifications
