Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A civil and demolition company based in Essex is seeking a Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects.

Details:

• Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (depending on experience)


• Package: Car parking, private healthcare, pension, 28 days holiday


• Hours: 8am-5pm, office-based


• Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Assist in pricing variations, documenting changes, and supporting approvals.


• Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and contract negotiations.


• Support valuations, tender pricing, and software tools for planning and cash flow.


• Conduct site inspections monthly to ensure project alignment.


• Apply experience to ensure compliance and collaborate on deliverables.


• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.


• Maintain client communication and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Driving license (preferred)


• Degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying (preferred)


• 1 year of surveying experience (preferred)


• Proficiency in Asta Powerproject


• Strong analytical and communication skills
