Teaching Assistant

Are you enthusiastic about mentoring and assisting students as a Teaching Assistant, helping them navigate obstacles and reach their goals?

Integra Education is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support and inspire a student, helping them realise their potential and excel both academically and personally.

This role will be within the family home with 15 hours of work available.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the student in developing social skills, fostering positive relationships, and managing emotions, while offering a calm and supportive presence during difficult situations


• Offer customised support to a student with various special educational needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, sensory impairments, and emotional or behavioral challenges


• To drive the young person to and from their activities


• Design and implement activities based on the pupil's interests

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of different SEN conditions, such as autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments, is essential


• A composed, patient, and empathetic approach when working with students who may display challenging behaviors or need extra support


• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential


• A clean UK driving licence and access to a car


• DBS on the update service or a readiness to acquire one
