A well-established hotel group with properties in key cities across Germany is seeking a Cluster Financial Controller to oversee financial operations at two prime locations: a 273-key hotel in Hamburg and a 102-key corporate-focused property in Munich.

This role primarily focuses on the Hamburg property (75%) but will also involve work related to the Munich site (25%).

• Salary: €62,000 for a single property; €73,000 - €75,000 for managing both properties in a cluster role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a business planning partner for hotel teams, providing strategic financial insights.
• Manage relationships with outsourced accounting services to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review profit & loss statements prepared by third parties (Grant Thornton, India) and ensure compliance with all financial standards.
• Oversee accounts receivable, resolving issues, and forwarding them to the appropriate parties.
• Play a key role in balance sheet integrity, with a focus on German VAT and compliance with local financial regulations.

Must-Haves:

• Proficiency in German (B1/B2) and English (B1/B2).
• Experience as a Financial Controller within the hospitality industry.
• Proven ability to manage and work with external partners to ensure smooth financial processes.

Desired:

• Background in operations within hospitality.
• A drive to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment, with multiple hotel openings planned.
• Strong understanding of German VAT regulations and filing requirements.
