Are you an Experienced Welder/Fabricator with experience in both MMA and MIG welding?

 

My client is a long-standing, family-run business well-known within the maritime industry and operates its services throughout Europe and the Thames.

They are currently looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator capable of working on ferrous metals and experienced in structure fabrication to join their expanding team.

 

The Role - Welder/Fabricator

- Perform welding tasks using MMA and MIG techniques on ferrous metals

- Fabricate and repair marine vessels and structures, including shell and deck 

  plating, strength members, and framing

- Execute fabrication projects based on technical drawings and specifications

- Use oxy/propane flame-cutting equipment to remove damaged areas from marine 

  vessels and structures

- Accurately cut new steel plating and components as required

- Ensure all welding and fabrication work meets industry standards and client 

  specifications.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working 

  environment

- Comply with company policies and marine industry regulations

 

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Welder/Fabricator

- Proven experience in MMA and MIG welding, particularly with ferrous metals

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for fabrication projects

- Experience with flame cutting using oxy/propane equipment

- IACS classification-approved welder's card/certification (highly desirable) - the 

  company will put you through this qualification if successful

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

 

The Package - Welder/Fabricator

- Starting salary up to £45,000 per annum
