Senior Management Accountant

• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

About the Role:

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will join a dynamic finance team in a fast-paced and evolving business.

This role provides excellent exposure across the entire company and offers opportunities to take on new challenges as the business grows.

You will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the company while helping to streamline processes and support business-wide projects.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase invoices and monitor the shared invoice inbox.
• Resolve invoice queries and perform supplier reconciliations.
• Review aged creditors and investigate old invoices.
• Assist with weekly payment runs and reconcile bank accounts.
• Lead in preparing monthly management accounts for review by the Finance Director.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including posting prepayments and accruals.
• Assist with VAT return submissions and monthly payroll.
• Improve internal financial controls as the company grows.
• Support ad hoc finance tasks and cross-departmental projects.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant in the hospitality or retail sector.
• Experience in preparing management accounts, month-end journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of numeracy and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to spot and capitalize on financial opportunities.
• A team player with a flexible attitude and a proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with Xero is an advantage.
