Court of Protection Solicitor

We are working with a highly regarded law firm based in Birkenhead, seeking an experienced and dedicated Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their dynamic Court of Protection team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for deputyship and trustee matters, looking to make a real difference in clients’ lives.

Role Overview
As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will handle a varied caseload of professional and lay deputyship clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing all aspects of Professional Deputyship matters, from application through to administration.
- Preparing and submitting professional and lay deputyship applications, trustee applications, and interim/urgent applications to the Court of Protection.
- Providing expert advice on Court of Protection matters to union clients through the firm’s free legal advice service.
- Collaborating with case managers, carers, clients, and their families to ensure effective outcomes.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:

- Have strong theoretical knowledge of Court of Protection work.
- Be a confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, families, and professional partners.
- Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a proactive, “can-do” attitude, with a willingness to take ownership of their caseload.
- Be a team player, ready to contribute to the team’s objectives and foster a positive, supportive environment.
