As the Project Engineer - Mechanical (Systems), you will play a crucial role in the team, contributing to the structural, mechanical, interior, and exterior elements of these extraordinary vessels.

The Role
Working alongside a skilled team, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of innovative superyachts.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in marine systems and will collaborate closely with the Exterior, Interior, and Mechanical Engineering teams, reporting to the department's team leader.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee Mechanical Engineers within the project team.
- Optimise and assess the technical feasibility of:
- Engine room and casing layouts.
- HVAC integration.
- Technical room layouts.
- Evaluate customer requirements and technical drawings for feasibility and accuracy.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress and technical specifications.
- Stay updated on market innovations and incorporate them into designs.
- Share knowledge and expertise within the team to promote collaboration and quality.
Requirements
- A relevant higher education qualification.
- Over five years' experience in shipbuilding as a Mechanical Engineer (Marine Systems).
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing software (experience with AutoCAD, NX, or CadMatic is a plus).
- Knowledge of ship design for passenger vessels and/or superyachts (50+ metres).
- Thorough understanding of legislation and regulations.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and methodically.
- Passion for technology and the ability to coach others.
- Results-oriented mindset.
