The Job:

I am seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the successful opening and operation of this new venture.

The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the business, including operations, staff management, customer experience, and financial performance, while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Opening Phase:


  • Collaborate with ownership on the pre-opening strategy, including hiring, marketing, and operational setup.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard a high-performing team, including front-of-house and kitchen staff.
  • Establish all operating procedures, including inventory management, supplier relationships, and health and safety protocols.

Operational Management:


  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage stock levels and supplier relationships for cheese, wine, and other menu items.
  • Monitor and maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Implement and refine service protocols to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Team Leadership:


  • Lead, motivate, and manage the team to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Provide ongoing training to maintain product knowledge and service excellence.

Customer Experience:


  • Act as the face of the business, engaging with customers to build relationships and loyalty.
  • Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.

Financial Management:


  • Prepare and manage budgets, including payroll, inventory, and operational costs.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze sales trends, and implement strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and reporting procedures.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry,
  • Strong knowledge of cheese, wine, and food pairing is a must.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences.
  • Proficient in financial management and performance analysis.
  • Fluent in English and German.
