Nestled in a stunning Grade II listed house
* with beautiful gardens, the Centre operates Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm (excluding Bank Holidays), offering a serene and enriching setting for all who visit.
As Deputy Manager (Care), you will play a key leadership role, reporting to the Centre Manager and ensuring that members receive exceptional support in a safe, friendly, and stimulating environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading & Supporting a Team - Supervise and inspire a team of five Carers, ensuring dignity and respect in every aspect of care.
- Member Wellbeing - Oversee and support the health, emotional, and behavioural needs of members.
- Care Administration - Maintain accurate care records and liaise with external stakeholders such as caregivers and local authorities.
- Activity Planning - Develop engaging activities tailored to members' needs, including those living with dementia.
- Staff Development - Provide training and mentorship to ensure your team delivers the highest standards of care.
- Stepping Up When Needed - Act as Deputy to the Centre Manager and provide cover during their absences.
- Reporting & Compliance - Provide reports to the Board of Trustees and maintain compliance with all care regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Care (minimum) - additional qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in caring for older adults, including a strong understanding of dementia care.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a care setting.
- Excellent communication & leadership skills to support both staff and members.
- Strong organisational skills to manage the Centre's daily operations efficiently.
- Compassion, patience & dedication to provide the best experience for our members.
