Toolmaker
Toolmaker Salary: £17 – £20 per hour
Location: Bournemouth
 
A long-standing engineering company in Bournemouth is on the lookout for a Toolmaker to join their team.

They’ve built a solid reputation for producing high-quality equipment that supports manufacturing across the globe.

The workshop is well-equipped, the team is experienced, and they’re always open to ideas that help improve how they work.
 
Toolmaker Responsibilities:

- Using manual machines like lathes and mills to make or refurbish jigs and fixtures.
- Getting hands-on with problem-solving – looking at what’s needed and figuring out how to make it happen.
- Working with the team to improve how things are made and make sure we get it right first time.
- Using your practical skills – whether that’s fabrication, hand assembly, or tweaking something that just isn’t quite working.

 
Toolmaker Requirements:

- Someone time-served or traditionally trained on manual machines.
- Confident coming up with tooling ideas and seeing them through from concept to build.
- Handy on the shop floor, with a practical mindset and a real eye for detail.
- A team player who’s not afraid to get stuck in and enjoys finding better ways to do things.
