We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and diverse primary school in Finchley.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a child to access the curriculum, encouraging independence, and helping them succeed both academically and socially.


Job Responsibilities


  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring inclusion in classroom learning.




  • Assist the class teacher in planning and adapting resources for individual learning needs.




  • Encourage positive behaviour through patience, consistency, and clear strategies.




  • Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development.




  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to track progress and implement strategies.




  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, nurturing environment.




Qualifications/Experience


  • Previous experience as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role desirable.




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.




  • Right to work in the UK.




  • Strong communication skills and a patient, resilient approach.
