We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Hendon, Barnet.

Job Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:




  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.




  • Assist in creating inclusive learning environments tailored to individual EHCPs.




  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication difficulties.




  • Use strategies and resources to help pupils regulate their emotions and achieve their potential.




  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.




  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in all learners.





Qualifications/Experience

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:




  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs).




  • Knowledge of supporting children with tailored interventions.




  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with pupils.




  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.




  • Right to work in the UK.
