Teach Plus are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry mainstream primary school in Hackney.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting class teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant who is passionate about education and eager to make a real difference in children's learning.

The role is to start ASAP on a full-time basis and would suit someone looking to gain long-term experience in a vibrant primary school setting.

• Provide targeted support to pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, including those with SEND and EAL


• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and behaviour management


• Support pupils in achieving their academic and personal development goals


• Help to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment


• Supervise pupils during transitions, playtimes and school activities


• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to contribute to lesson planning and pupil assessments


• Uphold the school's values, promoting respect, responsibility and resilience

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside experienced educators who will provide guidance and support to help you develop your skills further.

This position offers the chance to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic school environment.

• Previous experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a similar child-based role within a school setting


• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills


• Positive, proactive and reliable attitude


• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service


• Right to work in the UK
