About the Role/School:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant community school in Kingsbury, North West London, starting ASAP.

This nurturing and inclusive school caters to children aged 3 to 7 and places a strong emphasis on providing a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a supportive team, helping to provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, ensuring that they can access the curriculum and feel confident in their learning journey.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with special educational needs.




  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver differentiated lessons and activities.




  • Support children in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.




  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and contribute to tracking and reporting progress.




  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.




  • Encourage independence and build self-confidence in children with SEN.




  • Support the class teacher in maintaining classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.




Qualifications/Experience:


  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).




  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (preferred but not essential).




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.




  • Right to work in the UK.
