Manufacturing Engineer Salary: £40,000–£45,000

We’re working with a respected aerospace & defence manufacturer based in Poole that’s known for its high-precision machining and assembly work.

They’re on the lookout for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen their engineering team and help refine manufacturing methods across the shop floor.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll take ownership of developing and optimising machining and assembly processes, ensuring jobs are released to AS9100 standards and run efficiently from start to finish.

You’ll be the technical go-to person for production, working closely with both customers and suppliers to get parts right first time, every time.

 

Day-to-day as a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll:

- Determine and plan optimum manufacturing methods and processes
- Produce detailed job packs for release to the shop floor
- Support production teams with technical problem-solving
- Identify and manage tooling requirements for new components
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to maintain quality and efficiency
- Work to strict AS9100 and customer specifications

 

What we’re looking for in a Manufacturing Engineer:

- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within aerospace or other high-precision sectors
- Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of materials and surface treatments
- Awareness of commercial factors in production planning
- Experience using ERP systems and Excel
- CAD experience (Catia) would be a real bonus
