We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant, supportive primary school in Newham from January.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to support pupils' learning and development, particularly those with additional needs.

Job Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with learning activities across the curriculum, including literacy and numeracy

  
  


• 
  

  Help develop pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural skills

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement tailored learning strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  
  

This role is ideal for someone patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in children's learning.

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  Experience working with children in a school or educational setting

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of supporting pupils with additional needs or SEND is desirable

  
  


• 
  

  Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  
  


• 
  

  Right to work in the UK

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
