The successful Year 1 Teacher will be joining a collaborative and experienced KS1 team where planning is shared and staff work closely together to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

This is a full-time Year 1 Teacher position with strong long-term potential for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

  Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

  
  


• 
  

  Create a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  
  


• 
  

  Support pupils through the crucial transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider KS1 team

  
  


• 
  

  Use assessment effectively to track pupil progress and inform planning

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute positively to whole-school events, training, and developments

  
  

This role would suit a Year 1 Teacher who is energetic, nurturing, organised, and passionate about early learning.

Qualifications/Experience

• 
  

  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching in KS1, ideally as a Year 1 Teacher

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of phonics, early reading, and KS1 assessment

  
  


• 
  

  Confident classroom and behaviour management

  
  


• 
  

  Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

  
  


• 
  

  Right to work in the UK
