About the role/school

We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Stonebridge that is dedicated to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth for children aged 3 to 11.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a nurturing environment that emphasises values such as attitude, consideration, kindness, respect and tenacity.


The school delivers a broad and balanced curriculum covering English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Geography, History, Music, Art, Physical Education and Religious Education.

Each child's abilities are considered to ensure learning is engaging, inclusive and tailored.

The early years provision has been recognised as ‘Good' by Ofsted, offering a strong foundation for young learners—an ideal setting for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.



Job Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:




  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs across the curriculum




  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences




  • Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required




  • Helping create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment




  • Encouraging pupils' emotional, social and academic development




  • Collaborating with staff and external professionals to meet individual needs





Qualifications/Experience

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will need:




  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting (preferred)




  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
