I’m recruiting an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the opening and full operation of a high-end, fine-dining restaurant in Budapest.

This is a flagship project within a luxury hotel environment, but the role is restaurant-first.

Strong standalone restaurant experience is far more important than a hotel background.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to build teams, set service culture, and deliver a consistently exceptional guest experience at the top end of the market.

Your Experience

• International experience is essential
• Strong background in high-end or fine-dining restaurants
• Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or senior operational leader
• Exposure to chef-driven or premium restaurant concepts is highly desirable
• Excellent understanding of refined service standards and guest journey
• Confident managing budgets, labour, and overall financial performance
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing teams
• Stable career history with clear progression
• Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus
• Must already have the right to live and work in the EU

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-opening and day-to-day operations of the restaurant
• Set and maintain exceptional service and hospitality standards
• Build, train, and develop a strong front-of-house team
• Oversee financial performance, cost control, and operational efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with hygiene, safety, and brand standards
• Drive continuous improvement across service, systems, and guest experience
• Work closely with senior management to deliver a cohesive and standout concept
