Relief Social Care Worker

AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting Relief Social Care Workers to support frontline services within the homeless sector in Limerick City.

The successful candidates will provide person-centred, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing homelessness, supporting them to meet their immediate needs while promoting dignity, independence, and progression towards stable accommodation.

Essential Criteria

• QQI Level 7 degree or higher in Social Care, Social Science, Youth & Community Work, or a related discipline
• Experience working with vulnerable adults, ideally within homelessness, addiction, or mental health services
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction approaches
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster, including nights and weekends
• Good written and IT skills for accurate record keeping
• Legal right to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience in the homeless sector or emergency accommodation services
• MAPA, First Aid, Children First, Safeguarding etc.
• Knowledge of local homeless services and referral pathways.
• Experience working in residential or high-support environments.
