Relief Support Worker - Wexford

AA Euro Healthcare is currently welcoming applications from experienced Relief Healthcare Support Workers to work with our clients within Intellectual Disability day and residential services in Wexford and surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve the best possible quality of life while promoting independence, dignity, and choice.

You will work as part of a dedicated care team delivering services in line with HSE and HIQA standards.

You will expected to work both day and residential.

Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare/Social Care or a related discipline
• Eligible to work in Ireland (only candidates with a current valid work visa will be considered)
• Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a healthcare or disability setting
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, professional approach
• Full driver’s licence desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Work positively and constructively with young adults who may present with challenging behaviour
• Support the Person in Charge and wider care team in delivering a high-quality service
• Provide personal care where required, including assistance with dressing, washing, and daily living activities
• Promote and maintain the health, safety, and welfare of service users and staff
• Ensure all care is delivered in line with HSE policies, HIQA regulations, and organisational procedures
