Our client, a privately owned luxury estate in Surrey, is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join its front-of-house leadership team.

This is a role suited to someone who is as comfortable leading from the floor as they are shaping the overall flow of service.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the daily operation of the restaurant, with genuine responsibility and presence on the floor.

Responsibilities:

• Leading services with a calm, hands-on approach
• Setting the tone for the team during service, polished, attentive, and composed
• Coaching and developing team members in real time
• Maintaining exceptional attention to detail across all aspects of the guest experience
• Building natural rapport with guests and anticipating their needs
• Ensuring strong communication and collaboration between front and back of house
• Contributing to the ongoing development of service standards and team performance

Requirements:

• Have experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within quality-led hospitality
• Be naturally hands-on, leading from the floor rather than managing from a distance
• Demonstrate high personal standards without needing to overstate them
• Remain composed under pressure and consistent throughout service
• Take genuine pride in both guest experience and team performance
• Be someone others instinctively look to during busy services
