Social Care Leader - Carlow

AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting a Social Care Leader on behalf of a residential service provider in Carlow.

The service supports children under 12 years of age in a mainstream residential setting, with a focus on maintaining sibling placements in a safe, therapeutic, and child-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and act as the designated person in charge when required
• Implement Care Plans, Placement Plans, and Behaviour Support Plans
• Support children in a structured, safe, and therapeutic environment
• Promote and maintain sibling placements and relationships
• Supervise and support staff members and relief staff
• Liaise with families, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and complete reports in line with HIQA standards
• Manage incidents, safeguarding concerns, and complaints appropriately
• Participate in daily household routines to promote a homely environment

Essential Requirements

• Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience working with children/young people
• Experience supporting children with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
• Knowledge of HIQA standards for children’s residential services
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. 
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
