Role Responsibilities - Upper KS2 Teacher

As an Upper KS2 Teacher, you will:




  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Year 5 and Year 6




  • Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs and end-of-key-stage assessments




  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress and attainment




  • Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities




  • Support pupils' transition from primary to secondary school




  • Contribute to curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives




  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment




  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and leadership staff

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Upper KS2 Teacher committed to delivering excellent outcomes for pupils.


Essential Requirements


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)




  • Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or Year 6) or strong readiness to step into the role




  • Strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum




  • Confidence in preparing pupils for SATs




  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)




  • Right to work in the UK




Desirable


  • Experience improving pupil attainment in Year 6 SATs




  • Subject leadership or curriculum development experience




  • Commitment to professional development and collaborative working
