Senior Occupational Health Nurse – Newcastle upon Tyne

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working alongside an established Occupational Health provider in Newcastle who are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Health Nurse to lead and manage health surveillance services across their diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of health surveillance programmes in line with legal and professional standards
• Conduct, review, and provide sign-off for health surveillance assessments
• Manage onboarding and implementation of new client programmes
• Prepare and approve client reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supervise and support health surveillance technicians, including formal sign-off of work
• Ensure consistent application of quality assurance processes
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
• Collaborate with account management teams
• Contribute to audits and continuous service improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with post-registration Occupational Health qualification or extensive occupational health experience
• Proven experience conducting health surveillance assessments
• Qualification in audiometry and spirometry
• Strong understanding of occupational health legislation and best practices
• Experience supervising staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident working to operational targets
• Good IT skills and comfortable using digital systems
