Agency PIC - Wicklow

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking an experienced, organised, and dedicated Agency Person in Charge (PIC) to join our team.

This role is ideal for:

• Experienced PICs, or
• Senior Social Care Workers / Team Leaders ready to progress into a leadership role

The successful candidate will be innovative in their approach and take full responsibility for delivering a high-quality, person-centred service, promoting social inclusion and community participation.

About the Role

As PIC, you will be responsible for the overall management of the service and staff team, ensuring delivery of care in line with HIQA standards, New Directions, and organisational policies.

You will lead a team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex needs, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management and governance of the service
• Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team
• Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, New Directions, and legislation
• Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding
• Manage incidents, complaints, and quality assurance processes
• Promote person-centred care, independence, and inclusion
• Manage budgets and ensure efficient service delivery
• Drive continuous improvement and service development

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 7 in Applied Management / Social Care / Social Studies / Disability / Human Services
• Hold a CORU-approved qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence required)
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Minimum 3 years supervisory or management experience in Social Care (Team Lead experience considered)
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in the Intellectual Disability sector
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour and complex needs
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report writing skills
• Experience in budget management and service delivery
• Experience using Time Management systems
• Full driving licence
• Eligible to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)

Salary is aligned with the HSE Consolidated Pay Scale:

€27.29 – €32.54 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
