Healthcare Assistant - Tullamore

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Relief Healthcare Support Staff to support residential services for vulnerable children and young adults in Tullamore, Co.

Offaly.

This is a flexible agency relief position, offering shifts across day and waking night rosters within a structured residential environment.

This role is ideally suited to experienced care professionals seeking flexible work while gaining experience within established services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Person in Charge, the successful candidate will support individuals with daily living activities, personal development, and healthcare needs in a person-centred residential setting.

Experience supporting individuals with high medical needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals to build independence and confidence
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Follow individual care plans and support goals
• Administer medication and maintain accurate records
• Report incidents or concerns appropriately
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
• Follow all policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 5 in Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline
• Experience supporting individuals with high medical needs
• Previous experience in social care or healthcare settings desirable
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Full Irish driving licence and access to a car
• Garda Vetting / Police Clearance required
• Flexibility to work relief shifts, including days and waking nights
